Nicholas Maruti was born and raised in Riruta, Nairobi — a neighbourhood full of energy, resilience, and hardship in equal measure. Tragedy arrived early. Nicholas lost both parents at a young age, before he had the language to fully understand what that loss meant. Overnight, the routines that anchored his childhood dissolved, and his future became uncertain.
He became one of the thousands of children in Nairobi who fall through the cracks — not because society did not see them, but because the systems meant to catch them were overwhelmed. Nicholas survived not through institutions, but through people — well-wishers, neighbours, and community members who stepped in with meals, school fees, encouragement, and a place to sleep.
"I remember the faces of people who did not have to help me — but did. That memory is the reason Infinity exists. I owe everything I am to the community that refused to let me fall."
In the midst of instability, Nicholas found something consistent: a football. On the dusty pitches of Riruta, surrounded by other children for whom the game was an escape, something awakened in him. Football was not just recreation — it was structure, identity, and hope.
He trained obsessively. Through discipline born of necessity, he developed genuine talent and earned recognition beyond his neighbourhood. Nicholas became a footballer — competing at higher levels and using the sport to travel, grow, and eventually see a world wider than the streets where he was raised.
But the more he achieved, the more one thought returned to him: "What about the children I left behind? What about the ones who have no well-wishers?"
When Nicholas could have left Riruta behind and built a life elsewhere, he made a different choice. He came back — deliberately, purposefully, and with a plan. In 2022, he founded Infinity Sports Center with a single conviction: that the same sport that saved his life could save hundreds more.
He understood firsthand that a vulnerable child does not just need a football — they need someone to show up, consistently, with coaching, meals, school fees, and the message that their life has value. So he built an organisation that delivers exactly that.
"I did not start Infinity because I had resources. I started it because I had been the child who needed it — and I knew what that child needed to hear."
To use sport as a vehicle for transforming the lives of vulnerable youth in Riruta — through professional football coaching, education support, and holistic child care that leaves no child behind.
A Riruta — and a Kenya — where every child, regardless of background or circumstance, has the opportunity to discover their potential, access quality education, and grow into a leader in their community.
We believe the greatest investment any society can make is in its young people. When you protect a child today, you transform an entire community tomorrow. Every shilling donated changes a real life in Riruta.
Every program we run is co-designed with the Riruta community — because they know what their children need best.
We do not coach football in isolation. We wrap every young person in a full circle of support — coaching, meals, school fees, health care, and mentorship. Because a hungry child cannot learn. A scared child cannot play. A loved child can do anything.
Every donation to Infinity goes directly to youth in Riruta. Nicholas leads as a volunteer. We operate with radical transparency — because the children who depend on us deserve nothing less.

Every child we serve is treated with complete dignity and respect. Their circumstances do not define their worth — and we make sure they know it every single day.
Football teaches structure. We extend that ethic beyond the pitch — into how children approach school, responsibilities, and their futures. Discipline is the foundation of freedom.
Riruta is not a backdrop for our work — it is the heart of it. We are a community organisation, led by community members, for the community's children. Outsiders welcome; hierarchy is not.
Football matters — but school matters more. Every player in our academy is monitored academically. Falling grades means more support, never punishment. We produce students who happen to play football.
We account for every shilling. Every donor, every partner, and every beneficiary family deserves to know how resources are used. Integrity is not optional at Infinity.
We are, above everything else, in the business of hope. When a child sees a future for themselves — a tangible, reachable future — the entire trajectory of their life can change. We provide that vision.
Nicholas Maruti loses both parents in Riruta, Nairobi at a young age. Raised by well-wishers and community members, he learns early that survival depends on the generosity of others — a lesson that will shape everything he does.
On the open pitches of Riruta, Nicholas discovers football as a discipline and an identity. Coaches and community members notice his talent. The sport gives him structure, belonging, and a reason to keep going during the hardest years.
Years of dedication pay off. Nicholas competes at higher levels, gaining exposure and experience beyond Riruta. He begins to see both what is possible — and what is being lost — for the youth he left behind in his neighbourhood.
Nicholas makes a life-changing decision: to return to Riruta and build something lasting. He spends three years connecting with community leaders, understanding local needs, and designing a model that addresses the whole child — not just their football skills.
With limited resources but unlimited conviction, Nicholas founds Infinity Sports Center in Riruta. The first cohort of 40 children receives free football coaching, school supplies, and access to meals. The community responds immediately and powerfully.
By 2024, Infinity has supported over 300 youth across 7 communities. The Education Fund has paid school fees for 50+ children. The Child Care program runs daily. Match results and scholarship stories begin to spread beyond Nairobi.
Infinity is now growing its donor base, expanding its mentorship network, and planning a permanent facility in Riruta — a dedicated home for every program. The next generation of leaders is already training on the pitch.
